Annelise Peterson, the former PR Director at Valentino, entrepreneur and licensed Yogini, now serves as Director of Client Relations at Net-A-Porter. The Blonde, Ivy-League Beauty sits down with Page38 to discuss keeping a balanced life, happiness as an addiction and gives us a glimpse of Bi-Coastal living.
As a woman who does it all, how do you make fitness and healthy living a priority?
I believe very strongly in a mind/body connection. A healthy body – which comes from daily exercise and mindful eating – leads to a healthy attitude and a happier life. Happiness is both addictive and contagious.
Do you follow a fitness philosophy?
I like to do things that don’t overly exhaust my body – there is a balance between working hard and beating yourself up! Fitness should be fun and enjoyable.
What’s your workout of the moment?
Physique 57 and the elliptical machine. I am also taking ballet classes.
How do you start your morning?
With a Green Tea or a Chai Latte.
Can you list some rituals that get you through the day? Face care, juicing, workout, recovery, maintenance, supplements?
I start my day with a coffee or tea and the paper – and I won’t travel anywhere without 37 Extreme Actives, which is the best face cream I have ever used and worth the price tag.
What’s your signature look?
I don’t like to feel over-styled – my signature is an effortless blend of So Cal and New York: chic nonchalance but with attention to a strong elegant line, proportion and fit.
What are four things you can’t live without?
- Capri pants
- My iPhone
- A Bottle of Water
- Workout sneakers with pink accents. Workout sneakers are never cute, but pink makes them a little more feminine.
What’s the most exciting thing that’s happening for you right now?
I am excited to wake up every morning! I know – annoying.
What empowers you to live your best life?
Happiness.
