Since the ladies that work at Carbon38 basically live, breathe, and eat all things spandex, we asked a few of them what their favorite pieces were and why. Here’s Maria, one of Carbon38’s Graphic Designers on which piece of gear is her favorite.
What’s your favorite piece of clothing from Carbon38.com?
Well I have many favorites, but right now I’m obsessed with the Moonshadow Legging from Free People Movement.
Why is it your favorite?
So many reasons! I’m really into high waisted everything right now, and these pants have a fold-over high waist so they suck my tummy in for a super flattering fit. Plus, I can adjust them to hit me in exactly the place I want. Aside from looks, they are SO comfortable – to the point where I have to force myself to take them off so I can wash them.
How do you style it?
These leggings are the perfect pair to crop tops, so that’s usually how I wear them! I was looking for the longest time for something to go with all my crop top impulse buys where I didn’t have to bare my whole stomach. With these leggings I get to show a little bit of skin and feel sexy without having to worry about sucking in my stomach all day! The Mara Hoffman Racerback Tanks, Solow Deconstructed Crop Tanks, Michi Avalon Bra, and Alala Cross Back Bra are all perfect pairs to these Free People leggings. And if I’m going somewhere after my workout, or just wearing these leggings around for the day, I’ll throw on an open button-down or a cool jacket like the Alo Yoga Shell Jacket or Adidas by Stella McCartney Essentials Track Top and call it an outfit!
Best place to wear it out and about?
I’ve worn it out shopping, to meet a friend for coffee, and to run errands – really anywhere I would normally wear my boyfriend jeans and a cool tee.
What workouts would you recommend doing while wearing it?
I’ve done everything in them. They are great for hikes, perfect to wear with a crop top to barre class, and the waistband is secure (you would never have to worry about them sliding down) so that makes them a go-to for my dance cardio and other HIIT workouts too!
