7 Hamptons Hacks You Must Know

Avoid MTK Highway at ALL Costs
Back roads are your best friend, so skip the scenic “drive through town” because your gas tank, and patience, will suffer.

Java Nation, Bridgehampton
This local Bridgehampton secret is the perfect spot to grab a coffee before your commute back to the city. Their coffee beans, sourced from locations across the globe, are the best in town!
Monday Night Drumming
Parking is limited, so get there early! Bring a beach picnic, our favorite local picks are chicken salad from Citerella, with potato chips or their mouth-watering fried chicken. Treat yourself, we know you deserve it!
There’s nothing like Breadzilla’s squishy bread. They have everything you could ever want – fresh soups, sandwiches, bagels, baked goods, and more! Everything that will satisfy your appetite is here. It’s always busy, as locals know that this is one of the Hamptons major hidden gems, so don’t be afraid to call in your order but if you do, a ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ to Brad never hurts. PS: Grab a loaf of their cinnamon swirl hallhah bread and make French toast (you’ll never look at regular bread the same way again). Also, be sure to order their blackened salmon on squishy, it’s scary delicious while still being healthy!
The Seafood Shop
Who says you need to go all the way out to the Lobster Roll in Amagansett for a good lobster roll? The Seafood Shop in Wainscott has an extensive takeout menu with all your favorite fish-dishes – our personal favorite is the shrimp and oyster “Po Boy” with cornmeal crust, lettuce, tomato and spicy remoulade.
The Cheese shop in Sag Harbor might as well be a spot in the center of Paris. Their cheeses are second to none, but what really makes this a local treasure, is their mouth watering Panini’s. Our favorite is the turkey, asiago, artichokes and roasted pepper Panini with an Argo Iced Tea, made with green tea, mojito, hibiscus, honey and peach. They also have a wine cellar with an extensive selection, as well as a kitchen that provides items priced per pound such as cous cous salad, crab cakes, kale salad, and pulled pork sliders.
Wednesday Live Music in the Park
On Wednesday nights at 6:30 the Southampton Cultural Center sponsors a very popular music series of summer concerts in Agawam Park and at Coopers Beach. These concerts are a great place to go, kick back with friends and family, all while enjoying some great music. Find the schedule here!
